July 30/ #211 Celebrating

Celebrating today:

Fifteen Years Cancer Free
and
Twenty-Nine Year Wedding Anniversary

On Facebook, it was suggested to paint your
toenails pink in support of cancer patients.
What a great way to celebrate
15 years of NO MORE cancer!

Barn Charm Challenge -July 25/ #206

A man's barn bespoke his worth as a man.
It expressed his earthly aspirations and
symbolized the substance
of his legacy to his children."

July 24/ #205 Play Fort

My husband built this so many years ago, that we have kind of stopped
seeing it, if you know what I mean. It just sits quietly in
the back corner of our yard, We had
some kids over this week who had never
been to our house before and they reminded us
how "cool" it is.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge - July 24, 2011

Scavenger Hunt Time Again:

Here is this week's

1. Music to my Ears

The wind chimes in my backyard are music to my ears on a breezy day.

2. Hat

I have learned from my two youngest girls that
you can make hats and costumes out of anything - even
baby blankets.

3. Clear

Ahh! Clear blue water on a hot day.
There is nothing better.

4. Out of this World

When kids come to play, they think our
play fort is "out of this world".
#205/365

5. Sprinkles

When my daughter is in the pool, she likes to
shake her wet hair and "sprinkle" everyone.

July 22/ #203 HEAT WAVE

Today's weather.
When I took this this afternoon, it was 37 degrees Celsius, that's 99 Fahrenheit.
Notice where it says, "Feels like 50" - that is 122 Fahrenheit

Who says Canada is always cold?
There is not much snow to be found at 122 degrees.

Which do you think looks best?
Black and White or Colour?

July 19/ #200 Swim

Aww aren't they sweet?
The only way to spend a hot day is in the water.
This picture doesn't show how they were fighting with each other all day.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge - July 17, 2011

Here are my interpretations for this week's Scavenger Hunt:

1. Black and White

2. Reflections in Glass

This one is from a few months ago. I like how the jacks,
as well as the flowers, reflect in the glass table

3. Headlights

The headlight on our minivan has had a very
attractive piece of red tape on it ever since the lawn
mower ran into and broke it. It makes it easy to
know which one is ours in the parking lot.

4. Seeing Double

Two tubes in the pool waiting to be played with.

#198/365

5. Bare

This ash tree in our yard has been killed and
left bare by an ash borer.

July 15/ #196 Poison Ivy

Every time we think it is finally gone,
this patch of poison ivy seems to continue to grow.
Just keepin it real.

July 14/ #195 Gate

These flowers hang on my gate and are the
first thing you see when you come to visit
me in my backyard.
