Ballet Recital

This is the first year for my
youngest daughter to take
ballet lessons and today
was her first recital

Here, all of the girls are warming up before the performance.

It was dark but she is the middle angel.

After the show, with the teacher.
They all did a great job.

Dec 18/#353 Popsicle Stick Snowflake

We made some snowflakes out of popsicle sticks today.
Here are two of them hanging in the trees for painting.

#353/365
We hung one on the front door.
I think they turned out well considering
that we have never tried anything like this.

And a close up shot:

The Christmas Pickle #350

"In Old World Germany, the last decoration
placed on the Christmas Tree was always a pickle...
carefully hidden deep among the branches. Legend
has it that whoever found it on Christmas morning was
blessed with a year of good fortune... and a special gift."
This pickle will be placed on our tree on
Christmas Eve ( if I remember )

Macaroni Wreath

Pasta on a paper plate = classic!

My eight year old learned about printmaking
this week. She made this reindeer for me.

Retro Santa #348

Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge -December 11, 2011

There is certainly a Christmas theme
to this week's Scavenger Hunt.
Here we go:

1. Less is More

When it comes to Christmas decorating, sometimes
"less is more" like this one star ornament hanging
on the light fixture.

2. Holiday Lights

There are red holiday lights hanging
over our window. They are not
squiggles but I think it looks kind of cool
the way that the camera did that.

3. Ornaments

These ornaments were sitting right near
the camera, so they are the ones I chose to take
a picture of. I love the bright colours.

4. Cup of Cheer

Doesn't this look festive?

5. Nativity

After all, it's what the season is all about!
