Aug 25/ #236 Birthday Girl

Eighteen years ago today after 52 hours (that's right)

of labour and waiting in the hospital for months, my

daughter was born. At less than 3 pounds, she was over

3 months early. The experts said she would always

be small and mentally challenged. God disagreed.

She is a wonderful daughter, extra smart and

beautiful, inside and out.

She let me take her picture for her birthday.
This is the photo (above) that I would like to
post to remember her birthday. But, the real
photo is the one that needs to be documented, if for
no other reason, than to show my son later
what his idea of fashion was at nine years old.
So, here it is (below)

Aug 23/ #234 Sunflowers Everywhere

When we came across this sunflower field
while driving, I was so glad that
I happened to have the camera with me.
We couldn't resist stopping
and taking lots of pictures.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge -August 21, 2011

Scavenger Hunt time again:
Here are my interpretations of the prompts this week:

1. Geometry

There must be geometry involved somehow in
making a shuffleboard. Right?

2 Brushstrokes

Painting, of course.

3. Hanging by a Thread

My daughter was making some jewellery and
this bead was literally "hanging by a thread."

4. Collage

Church camping weekend.

5. On the dotted line.

A classic game of hangman.
Notice the ON the dotted line!

See what others came up with for these same prompts here:
