Style?

After school, I sent the kids outside to play.
When I looked out and saw their outfits, I
decided to take a picture to blackmail them with
in the future.
Kid 1 - bright orange shorts, a tennis raquet and a winter coat.
Kid 2 - her older sisters shirt and the same very dirty pants that
she has worn everyday for the past week because
they are 'the best ones for doing cartwheels.'
Kid 3 - red wig, soccer shoes and a ballet outfit.

It's how we roll.
Hmm.

March 27 - Frost is back

Since we have been having record high temperatures
for this time of year, all of the trees bloomed early.
Unfortunately, there was frost last night and
the beautiful trees in the neighbourhood went
from this to this:

Scavenger Hunt Sunday - March 25

It's been a few weeks since I have done
the Scavenger Hunt.
It was fun to get back to it.

Here are my interpretations
of the prompts for this week:

1. Whimsy

This chef is a bit of whimsy in the corner
of my kitchen. He wears two extra chef
hats and aprons.

2. Create

A lot of creative things are made
by my children
at this craft table.

3. Dust

This is the first time I have ever
taken a picture of my dusty
furniture. It is not really some
thing that I want to save as a
lasting memory .

4. Seed or Sprout

This is a branch on our crabapple tree
that is beginning to sprout leaves.

5. Swing or Drop

How about slide and drop?
This is my daughter at the arena
sliding down the stair banister.

March 24, 2012 Last Hockey Game of the Season

Today was my 10 year old son's last
hockey game of the year so
we all went to watch.

He is #29.

The end.

Barn Charm Monday -March 19, 2012

Having been absent from Barn Charm for some time,

I am planning on joining the fun once again.

This week, however, I do not have

a picture of a barn, but something

definitely related. In fact, I found this

at my Grandfather's farm along

with lots of other fun things.

Beatty Brothers Barn Book
published in 1931
Lots of barn building ideas etc.
Lots of diagrams too.

Here are just a few examples of
some of the inside pages:

If you are interested, you can see some of

the treasures I found about 3 posts down.

Lots of barns found here:

March 19 - A Year Can Make Quite a Difference

This photo was taken last March when our
new puppy was just 2 months old.
It is interesting how much snow there was
last year.

One year later, he has grown much larger.
And, we had just one week this winter that
there was snow.

He's a one year old puppy now.

Three vehicles parked in the driveway.

March19, 2012 Unseasonable Temperatures

We have been having beautiful weather
unseasonably early this year.

Daffodils are not only blooming, they
are wilting in the heat.

Here is the thermometer on this the last day of winter.
At 2:33 p.m. - it is 69.6 in the house
and 86.6 degrees (that is 30 degrees celsius.)
outside. Somehow, it doesn't seem like it is still winter.
