Today's most popular garage sale finds were five wigs that 

I purchased. Besides the ones pictured here,

there is also a green one and a blue one.

So many choices, but , in typical sisterly fashion, they are already

fighting over a favourite.

Since Ashley Sisk postponed it until this week, I

decided to do the prompts again with new interpretations.

1. Yellow

 My yellow birdhouse.

These two guys together always make me smile.

3. Ancient or Antique

One of these cuckoo clocks is an

antique. Can you guess which one?

It is always nice to go for a car ride on a sunny day.

April 27 - Bike Ride

It was a beautiful Spring day - just right for a bike ride!

April 26 - Dresser Update

We are finally getting around to some of the many projects on our list.

I will put some on here in the next little while.

This small chest of drawers had been in my Dad's barn for, oh, at least 40 years or so. 

And before that, I believe it lived for several years in the chicken coop . I assume at one

time that it was actually used as furniture.

I don't know how old it really is but it is solid wood

and very well made. They don't make 'em like they

used to.

The top had obviously been replaced at some point.

Several of the knobs were broken or gone and I am pretty

sure that that is petrified chicken poop on the front.

So, of course, I had to have it.

And here it is now with it's new lease on life.

My husband sanded it down and painted it with

hard wearing porch paint. I found new handles

in the discount bin at Home Depot.

And, just like that - something old is new again.

We are happy with the way it turned out.

April 25 - Post Easter Tradition

1. Take leftover Easter Peeps

2. Add chocolate chunks and graham crackers.

3. Put it all together and microwave

4. A completed Peep S'more

I am not sure how old this lap desk is but it is definitely

antique. It is a very old writing desk/box.

2. Something that makes you smile

The games that the girls make up to play, always make me smile.

Almost everything in our pantry has a yellow

label as this is the colour of our local "store brand".

April 21 - Modern Medieval Jousting

The boys decided to try some modern day jousting using hockey sticks.

They used bikes instead of horses. Their armour was shirts stuffed with

old dress-up clothes, hockey pads and helmets. They started at opposite

ends of the driveway, meeting in the middle to dual.

Very imaginative and entertaining.
