Some Great Junk

Recently, my Dad gave up living on the farm to move to town.

Having been inspired by reading Donna's blog at

http://www.funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.ca/

I was fortunate to be able to pick up some cool

junk from Dad's outbuildings before the move.

Most of this stuff had probably been hanging

around the farm for at least 50 years or longer.

Here are some of my finds in this and the next

couple of posts. If anyone has great creative

ideas of what to do with this dirty old stuff,

please let me know.

They say that "one man's junk is another man's treasure"

This is an old wooden pulley that used to pull hay bales up into the hay loft.

A very old ceramic chicken waterer/feeder.

I have never seen a ceramic one so must be quite old.
We found it in the rafters of the old shop garage.

A cog that has become a paper weight on my desk.

A grease gun.

An old brass fire extinguisher.

I like the cog wheel that became a paper weight. Also like the wooden pulley and the chicken feeder thing.

You found some wonderful old stuff. I like that wooden pulley and the chicken waterer. They'll make nice decorative objects.
